Lee Iacocca's New Book
"Where Have All The Leaders Gone" is a very good read. Regardless of where you stand politically, this is more a discourse on leadership. Iacocca is outraged and says the American public should be to.
I always have liked Lee Iacocca. I first ran into his writing when I was a Dale Carnegie Instructor. He was a big advocate for our programs and made them available for employees at Chrysler. He recognized that employees are an asset, not a liabilty (or expense) and the more you can do to help them improve, the greater you're bottom line will be.....win,win.
My views are clearly left of central, so hearing Lee talk about our current state of affairs in such a straight forward and clear manner, inspires me again. Yet, even if you reside right of center, this is a very good take on effective leadership.
